How to transfer shares in RISCOS Ltd.
If you decide that you wish to transfer any shares in RISCOS Ltd, the company's Articles of Association sets out certain steps which have to be followed for the transfer to be valid.
If you do not have a buyer for your shares
The Company may be able to help you get in touch with someone who wants to buy them.
If you already have a buyer.
Send a stamped stock transfer form together with your old share certificate to the Company Secretary at the address below.
Please note that any share transfers will need to have Stamp Duty of 0.5% paid - this tax is borne by the purchaser.
The Company's Board will then consider whether to approve the transfer at its next meeting. Once Board approval has been gained the transfer will be entered into the Company's Share Register and we will send a new share certificate to the person who has bought your shares. The buyer of the shares may wish to send the cheque they are using to buy the shares to the Company rather than directly to you. The Company will then make sure that the cheque is forwarded to you on the same day that the new certificate is sent to the buyer. The cheque should still be made out to the seller however. The company will do its best to make these steps as easy as possible for you and you are welcome to ask for help at any stage.
